Eligibility Requirements

If a person is unemployed - IELLA will need to know how they are
supported.

If a person is employed - their income must be at or below the national income guideline which is established at 200% of the federal poverty line.*

If the person is on Public Assistance, they must provide proof of same.

Individual must be a resident of either Riverside or San Bernardino County and their case must be filed within these counties.

Individual must be a citizen or legal resident.  However, because IELLA receives other non-federal funds (such as from the State Bar of California and United Way), IELLA can provide services to non-legal residents utilizing these other funds.

The individual cannot have over $20,000.

Clients are asked to sign the application for service as evidence of their income, assets, and the case information they gave to determine their eligibility.

* Income eligibilility is determined by total income of all persons living at residence.
